Welcome to the School Zone!
You've reached the Pondcam School Zone! Here you can view the Live Streams from our school webcams, view and download Teaching & Learning resources to support 12 popular Key Stages 1 and 2 pond topics and read and post comments on The Pond Posts blog about the wildlife that you have found in your school pond.
Come and watch the live streams from our project member's school ponds, and follow the updates from our schools through the year! We will be installing new pond cameras in schools in the Spring, so please check back regularly.
Throughout the project, our team of local bird experts will post daily updates and articles to support the current weekly topic. Please read the new post each day (or catch up through the archive!), and your pupils can use the comments section to interact with the experts and ask questions.
Each of our school project members can post their own updates in to the "School Updates" section. Keep everyone updated on activity in your ponds, the wildlife around your school grounds, and showcase and celebrate your pupils work. Launching Spring 2017.
Our Teaching and Learning library section features our extensive library of resources to support the 12 topic programme.
Want to learn more about the many pond creatures that live on this planet and can be seen in our school grounds and gardens? Visit the Pupil Zone web page to find exciting things to do and make! Launching Spring 2017.
Why not take part next spring/summer in the SeeNature Healthy School Pond Survey. To take part just download our Teacher’s Resource Pack and complete the listed activities to find out how clean is your pond water and which species of pond life visit your school pond. Full details about the survey will be published here later this autumn.
