The ducks are developing so quickly. I hope for the best for the ducks.

We have loved following the story of the ducks. Great they all did so well.

Your ducks are SO cute. Have you looked after them from being chicks?

A duck laid her eggs in our school grounds but a cat found the nest. We rescued the eggs and put them in an incubator to keep them warm. The eggs hatched after a few days and we have been looking after the ducklings since. They are now just over 3 weeks old.

Today our ducklings had their first experience in a bigger tub of water and what fun they had! Our nursery children thoroughly enjoyed the experience (not to mention the staff)!

As the ducklings are growing so quickly, today we took 7 of them to a rescue centre where they will be looked after until they are fully feathered and ready for the outdoor world. We have kept 4 at school and hope to release them in our school grounds in a few weeks time.

Thank you. We are enjoying looking after the ducklings but it is hard work as they make quite a lot of mess!
