Kent and Medway Schools’ Bird Art Exhibition report

"Look at the beautiful natural world around us!"

Magnificent display of pupils art work at The RSPB Reserve Dungeness

Hosted by The RSPB Dungeness Reserve and managed by the See Nature Bird Box Team the exhibition included over 200 pieces of 2 and 3D Bird Art work from 6 primary schools across Kent and Medway. This work included clay models, paper mache creations, hanging mobiles, bird silhouettes, sewing, chalk and pencil drawings and a number of paintings.

The exhibition which was open to the public over the recent Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 29th April to Monday 1st May 2017 was visited by over 600 bird watchers and members of the general public.

Asked to comment on the Exhibition, Phil Bracegirdle -See Nature Project Manager replied, “This is the first time we have hosted an art exhibition of this kind and we hope following the success of this weekend that it will become an annual event in The Bird Watching calendar.”
