hive:  a large nesting box built by bees.

grooming:  the time spent by an adult bes cleaning pollen and other dust particles from its body.

pollinate:  a very important part of the life cycle of plants. Insects, birds, bats and the wind take pollen between flowering plants, which allows plants to make seeds and reproduce.

particle:  a very small speck or trace of matter. Can often only be viewed when placed under a microscope.

anthers:  the part of a flower that hold the pollen.

scopa:  these are the hairs on a Red Mason bees abdomen that it uses to carry the pollen back to the nest.

seeds:  the small part of a flowering plant that is capable of growing into a new plant.

crop:  plants grown on a farm.

orchard:  an area of land planted with fruit or nut trees.
